Events and Projects

CCA supports a number of events and projects designed to raise funds, bring the community together, and improve the neighborhood. All CCA events and projects are managed by volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer or start your own project, see Volunteer. Take time to enjoy everything Naglee Park has to offer! Events

  • Pastries in the Park
    Late April

    Meet neighbors and friends in William Street Park for coffee, pastries and conversation. The Wildflower Gardens are at their best in spring. Coordinated by the Beautification Committee.
     
  • PorchFest
    Mid June
    Wander the neighborhood enjoying local live music from your neighbors’ porches, front lawns and driveways. Naglee Park Porch Fest events include barbecues, potlucks and get-togethers. Events are hosted by neighbors and sponsored by CCA.
     
  • Fourth of July Celebration
    July 4 

    Our annual celebration includes a Bake-Off, Run/Walk, Parade, and Neighborhood Block Party potluck and barbecue. See Fourth of July for details.
     
  • National Night Out
    First Tuesday in August

    National Night Out is a nation-wide event that promotes community awareness and safety. Naglee Park National Night Out events include barbecues, potlucks and get-togethers at neighbor’s front lawns and porches. Events are hosted by neighbors and sponsored by CCA.
     
  • Bark in the ParkTM
    Third Saturday in September

    Bark in the Park is one of the one of the best and largest dog festivals in the U.S. and is Naglee Park’s premier event, celebrating our canine friends and showcasing our neighborhood to the Bay Area and beyond. Thousands of dogs join us at William Street park for a day with their human companions to enjoy treats, contests, doggie camaraderie and merchandise. Bark provides funding for CCA’s many neighborhood projects and events and also donates money to animal shelters and charities.
     
  • Naglee Park Open Studios
    Early October

    Naglee Park Open Studios, is a tour of artist studios within Naglee Park on the first Sunday in June. More than 20 studios and 30 artists each draw hundreds of attendees.
     
  • Dessert Extravaganza, Member and Volunteer Recognition
    Wednesday evening in Mid November

    Join the board and neighbors for tasty treats made by local bakers as we thank CCA volunteers!
     
  • Naglee Park CCA Holiday Social
    Early December 

    Every December Santa visits Naglee Park during the Holiday Social! The annual event includes carolers, children’s crafts, appetizer and cookie potlucks and lots of holiday merriment (and wassail!).

Projects

  • The Advisor
    Naglee Park’s community newsletter, published semiannually. Learn more about our beloved neighborhood and those who live here! We are always open to contributors and advertisers. For more information, see The Advisor.
     
  • Beautification
    Have you admired the gardens gracing our traffic medians, the wild flower garden on the north-west corner of William Street Park, or noticed the cleaner streets after a team of neighbors pick up trash? These projects are managed by the Beautification Committee.
     
  • Email List
    News big and small is shared through the email list. For information, see Email List.
     
  • Historic Inventory
    The Historic Inventory project is building a list of historic homes in Naglee Park to support the designation of our community as a historic district.
     
  • Ready Naglee Park
    This committee is dedicated to helping you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors in the event of a disaster. For more information, see Ready Naglee Park.  
     
  • Website
