Email Lists

The Campus Community Association sponsors two email lists: an announcements only list and a discussion mailing list for Naglee Park residents and friends.

The “CCA Email List”

The CCA Email List is a discussion list hosted on groups.io. Posts are normally distributed immediately without prior review. Recent topics include neighborhood history, recommendations for local contractors, crime and safety alerts, lost pets, and other matters of community interest. The list is moderate volume (between 25 to 100 messages per week).

All users agree to abide by the CCA Email Rules and Guidelines. Members who repeatedly violate the Email Rules and Guidelines may have their account placed under moderation or removed from the list.

Announcements-Only List

The announcements only list is for those interested in only getting notices of upcoming neighborhood events such as CCA meetings and events, like the CCA Fourth of July, Naglee Park Open Studios, CCA Holiday Get Together, National Night Out, Bark in the Park, and many more. The list is low volume (approximately 1-3 emails per month). To join the announcements only list, fill in information below.

Email List Rules and Guidelines

The Naglee Park email list serves the community by providing a respectful venue for neighborhood communications. The list should improve communications, foster involvement, and help maintain a quality neighborhood.

The strength of this list is its members. They are its greatest asset and must be treated with respect and tolerance. List members are expected to work together to maintain the list as a valuable neighborhood resource using these rules and guidelines:

  1. Practice good etiquette. The Core Rules page on the Good Netiquette site provides useful information on email communications.
  2. Don’t engage in one-on-one discussions on the list. If you have a topic that is of interest to just a few list members, take it to a respectful offline discussion.
  3. Don’t engage in personal attacks on other people. This is unacceptable. Be as courteous to your neighbors online as you would be in person.
  4. Provide your actual name (not initials or an alias) and general address (for example, 400 block S 14th) when signing your posts. You can automate this by following these steps.

Members who post are expected to use their full first and last name in their groups.io Display Name so posts clearly identify the sender. If a Display Name is incomplete, moderators may standardize it using the member’s provided name.
  5. Don’t distribute the list of member email addresses.
  6. Don’t repost an email from the list elsewhere without permission of the author.
  7. Don’t share a private email to the list without the author’s permission.
  8. Fundraising posts must include verifiable public information and a clear connection to the neighborhood.

List members who disregard these rules and guidelines may be warned, have future posts held for moderator approval, or be removed from the list.

The Naglee Park email list is run by the Naglee Park Campus Community Association (CCA). If you have questions about list policies or aren’t sure if a post is appropriate, please contact the CCA List Administrators, ccalistadmin@nagleepark.org, for guidance.
